Martin
Aroview: Bizarre and original film about a young man who claims he is not a vampire, but has psycho-sexual penchants that would pale 'Nosferatu'. Vampire or not, he's a disturbed and surprisingly sympathetic individual, thanks to a strong performance by the otherwise obscure John Amplas, Romero's alternately patient and frenetic editing style and avant-garde score.

5 stars (Exceptional) This is my favourite vampire movie, and is easily George Romero's most beautiful and emotional work. The melanchonia is leavened by a strong sense of irony throughout. ~Pearce
5 stars (Exceptional) George A Romero's most underrated film ~Wyatt Earp
