Aroview: Utterly fascinating story of The Source Family, a 150-strong spiritual commune in the Hollywood Hills during the hippy era, presided over with increasingly god-like authority by polygamist Father Yod. Made with full access to the family's extensive archives, kept by ex-member Isis Aquarian, and featuring plenty of interviews, this offers an unmissable insider's perspective on living life outside of social convention, and how these individuals have changed (or not) four decades on.
The group's most interesting contribution to wider American culture was the family band, Ya Ho Wa 13, which had a lasting influence on the burgeoning psychedelic folk improvisation scene.

2 stars (Good Try) The subject matter was interesting enough but I found the documentary coverage of some segments shallow e.g. God's possible criminal background and the influence the Family had on the music scene. ~Tubbs
