Congress, The
Synopsis: An aging, out-of-work actress accepts one last job, though the consequences of her decision affect her in ways she didn't consider.
“wholly original and thoroughly surprising fusion of sensory overload and liberal philosophy bound to confuse and provoke in equal measures. ”~Eric Kohn, Indiewire
Aroview: Robin Wright stars as an aging actress who is offered the chance of "career immortality" by being digitized in this topical and state-of-the-art show biz fantasy.
Another innovative feature from the director of animated documentary WALTZ WITH BASHIR, this unique hybrid of live action and animated feature is beautifully controlled in its live action opening half before segueing into a surrealistic cartoon nightmare. While less satisfying in its computer rendered pay-off that its 'real life' set-up this perhaps underscores the point the film is trying to make.

4 stars (Very Good) Its every aspect is original and will warrant repeated viewing. Some of the animation is stunning. ~Tubbs
4 stars (Very Good) This film stuck with me and had me reading the futurological congress by Stanislaw Lem, though they are very different stories. The movie is so much more. ~Catapillar
