Aroview: Not just another Hollywood-insider morality tale, this micro-budget wonder about the last days of hot-shot talent agent emerges as the most poignant and gratifying of its ilk, thanks in no small amount to a complex performance by Danny Huston (real-life son of directing legend, John).
Intruigingly structured around the ambiguous circumstances of the death of a man-who-should-have-it-all, this refreshes Tolstoy's novel "The Death of Ivan Ilyich" in smart contemporary terms, and ultimately reveals a disarming substance beyond its cheap videography and tabloid subject. Highly recommended for fans of THE PLAYER and THE ANNIVERSARY PARTY.
