Mad Max: Fury Road
“That adjective in the title is accurate. Extravagantly deranged, ear-splittingly cacophonous, and entirely over the top.”~Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian
Aroview: Thrillingly turbo-charged fourth installment (and effective reboot) of the "salvage punk" action series set in post-apocalyptic Australia sees Tom Hardy don the iconic leathers, but noticeably sharing the heroic glory with Charlize Theron, who emerges as a post-feminist icon to rival that of Sigourney Weaver's Ripley.

3 stars (Good Enough) Relentlessly linear, but awesomely designed and choreographed. Max was a bit too much of a cipher for me, and with about 40 minutes to go I found myself in another room dusting - it just seemed to be repeating itself. ~HiFi
2 stars (Good Try) Charlize gets her hands dirty again but the story is very familiar and noisy. ~Tubbs
1 star (Turkey) Tiresome film. lacked a decent script and characters worth spending 2 hours with. Very disappointing. ~ER
4 stars (Very Good) A gloriously berserk thrill-ride. At 2 hours, the non-stop action does finally get a bit monotonous. But fair's fair: for eye-popping vision and breath-taking mayhem, this runs turbo-charged rings around any comparable pop-spectacle. ~fairbrother
