Denial
“Best enjoyed for the quality of the performances and the typical richness of Hare’s screenplay.”~Screen International
Aroview: Cracking courtroom drama with Rachel Weisz in fine form as fiercly determined writer and historian Deborah E. Lipstadt, who battles for the truth to prove the Holocaust actually occurred when David Irving, a renowned denier, sues her for libel. Based on her book "History on Trial: My Day in Court with a Holocaust Denier".

4 stars (Very Good) Intelligent & gripping portrayal of the importance of historians in telling the truth, as relevant to NZ today as for one of the greatest crimes of the 20thC, the Nazi Holocaust. Terrific performances esp.by Tom Wilkinson, Timothy Spall & Rachel Weisz ~Sandy
2 stars (Good Try) With all due respect to the excellence of the performers, you have to ask the question why this distasteful topic has been regurgitated and Irving given his day in court again. The final scenes are Hollywood. ~Tubbs
4 stars (Very Good) Fine script and acting. ~Shorty
