Personal Shopper
“Assayas’s great new film is by turns sinister, jarringly mundane, and entirely inimitable, as it explores the peculiar sorrow of losing a loved one while avoiding the obvious routes such a tale would usually take”~David Sims, The Atlantic
Aroview: Utterly beguiling psychological horror closely following a troubled personal shopper to a fashion-world celebrity, who attempts to make contact with her recently bereaved twin brother, who may be haunting their Paris home. Director Olivier Assayas (CLOUDS OF SILS MARIA) has crafted a remarkably genre-defying film, working again with Kristen Stewart in a role entirely befitting her style as an actress.

2 stars (Good Try) The promotion pre-warns you that it is a ghost story so that takes a lot of the suspense out of what follows which for the most part is watching text messages. Kristen is fine however. ~Tubbs
4 stars (Very Good) Intriguing ~Truant
