Colossal
“For better and worse, you won't have seen a movie like Colossal before, and you won't again. And that, in itself, is a strong recommendation.”~Time Out London
Aroview: Ambitious high-concept sci-fi drama-comedy hybrid starring a plucky Anne Hathaway as an unemployed, down-at-heel city girl who returns to her childhood smalltown where she discovers she has a cosmic connection to a monster wreaking havoc in Seoul.
The ludicrous premise provides lots of fun and it works exceptionally well when being playful, less so when it's contriving conflict for it monstrous showdown. From the writer-director of the lo-fi time travel gem, TIMECRIMES.

3 stars (Good Enough) Not in the same class as Timecrimes, but still witty & unexpected. Convincing New Hampshire small-town losers with big houses & small brains. Beautiful Anne Hathaway carries the show. Lots of fun, recommended. ~Sandy
3 stars (Good Enough) A fresh screenplay! Hathaway and Sudeikis are very good but the human supporting cast is ordinary. ~Tubbs
