Rebel in the Rye
“a film of many pleasures and a thought-provoking look at American literature's most famous loner”~G. Allen Johnson, San Francisco Chronicle
Aroview: Biopic about the life of author J. D. Salinger, covering the time during and after World War II, his romantic life and the publication of his first and most well known novel, Catcher in the Rye. Less an inquiry into the nature or origins of Salinger's talent, this is a largely formulaic exercise, and will be of interest for it's evocation of the era and of the biographical facts of an extraordinary and uncompromising life.
