“An unnervingly effective slow-burn, and those with the patience for Trier’s patient accumulation of detail will find it pays off in unexpected ways.”~Variety
Aroview: A gracefully unsettling Nordic thriller about a painfully shy young woman whose oppressed, conservative upbringing and burgeoning passion for a fellow university student manifests in a dangerous and uncontrollable psycho-kinetic power.

4 stars (Very Good) A powerful & truly scary fantasy of truly Nordic taste. Fine acting & tight script. Complex amalgam of fundamentalism. sibling rivalry, "science' & sex! Gradually becomes increasingly riveting, like a rope around the neck. Very fine music. ~Sandy
3 stars (Good Enough) There is an interesting mix of ingredients in the screenplay which although steadily paced for the most part seems to slow unnecessarily in its final stages. ~Tubbs
