Under the Silver Lake
“The ambition of Under the Silver Lake is worth cherishing. It will either evaporate into nothingness or cohere into something you’ll want to hug for being so wonderfully weird.”~Time Out
Aroview: Dazzlingly creative Los Angeles-set neo-noir about a disenchanted slacker who sets out for answers when strange crimes begin occurring in his East LA neighbourhood. A mesmerizing thriller filled with bizarre scandal and conspiracy from the director of IT FOLLOWS.

4 stars (Very Good) Some movies are mysteries. This one is a code cracker. If you solve the t-shirt with the circles on it at the start, you're on your way. ~Pearce
2 stars (Good Try) The best bits were where the director tried to copy David Lynch. He did achieve, with the aid of the score, some Lynch atmospherics. However, overall it was a film that was in love with itself and unable to bring itself to a conclusion. ~Tubbs
1 star (Turkey) Surrealistic, but dumb. Facile & without humour. ~Sandy
