4 stars (Very Good) A hard-boiled, smart and well acted detective thriller. Nicholson in particular is brilliant. ~Wizzums
4 stars (Very Good) Excellent story telling about an incompetent detective who opens up a can of worms. The pace of the film is just right and doesn't get sidetracked with unnecessary subplots. The photography and props are impressive. Excellent ending. ~Tubbs
