City and the City, The (TV Mini-series)

Aroview: Compelling blend of sci-fi dystopia and crime set in a European city-state called Beszel, where an inspector in the Extreme Crime Squad is investigating a murder that may be linked to the neighbouring city - which curiously occupies the same physical space as Beszel, only citizens have learnt from childhood to "unsee" each other. Based on the book by China Miéville, and with a mise-en-scène inspired perhaps by 1970's Istanbul.
