Aroview: Coming-of-age story set in the 70's about a teenage girl who is sent to the countryside during the "Down to the Countryside" Movement in the People's Republic of China. There she works with horses and is taken care of a by a Tibetan eunuch, but when she wants to return to her home town, she is met with hostility and abuse by male villagers. The directorial debut of Joan Chen.
