Aroview: Powerful legal drama from director Destin Daniel Cretton (SHORT TERM 12), telling the true story of Walter McMillian (Jamie Foxx), the African-American pulpwood worker who appealed his 1988 murder conviction with the help of young defence attorney Bryan Stevenson (Michael B. Jordan). Based on the book of the same name by Stevenson, this is a conventional but undeniably rousing account of a history-making battle for justice.

2 stars (Good Try) Whilst the dramatisation concentrates on the McMillian case hopefully it will be a spur for further reading into the achievements of Bryan Stevenson as a social justice activist. ~Tubbs
