Baby Done
“Baby Done is funny; it’s sweet; it means something. Most of all it’s charming.”~The Guardian
Aroview: Appealing Kiwi comedy with award-winning stand-up comedian Rose Matafeo playing a reluctant soon-to-be parent in a state of increasing denial about her impending loss of freedom, as her long-term Brit boyfriend embraces the prospect of fatherhood.
A larger scale project than director Curtis Vowell's previous film FANTAIL, with a sharper pace and a comedic sheen that will appeal to a mainstream audience, and the all-important lovable pair of leads. Touching little details haven't been sacrificed though, and it's a film that mostly avoids, or at least puts a fresh new spin on, the cliches of the parental comedy genre.
