Charles Boyer (GASLIGHT) plays a philanderer who's accused of killing his wife, who died of a heart attack, in order to marry his mistress. When his wife's nurse and the neighbour convey their suspicions to local police, he finds himself under investigation for a crime he didn't commit. Meanwhile the family doctor races to find the real culprit.
