Boogeyman, The
Aroview: Supernatural slasher directed by Fassbinder regular Ulli Lommel, who was part of the New German Cinema movement.
An American production starring his wife Suzanna Love as young woman who is targeted by the vengeful spirit of her mother's boyfriend, who her brother killed in a fit of psychosis as a child. Rich in sleazy atmosphere, the film was overshadowed by the likes of THE AMITYVILLE HORROR at the time, but stands up as a curiously obscure, if derivative, option.
DVD Features
The disc also features the egregious sequel "Return of the Boogeyman" (1994) which HorrorNews said, aptly enough, should be avoided at all cost.
