“A a truly heartfelt rites-of-passage tale — an immersive, intoxicating portrayal of the rave scene at its peak.”~Dan Jolin
Aroview: Evocative Scottish period drama set in the 90's rave scene, following two teenagers who try to sneak into an illegal rave party in Livingston.
Explores the impact of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994, which was a crack down on large public gatherings across the UK in response to the emerging popularity of rave parties, and stigma around the misunderstood style of electronic music that characterised them. A passionate depiction of this time, filled with period detail and music of the era, with a tender coming-of-age story at it's heart.
From accomplished Scottish director Brian Welsh, who was behind the BLACK MIRROR episode THE ENTIRE HISTORY OF YOU, and executive producer Steven Soderbergh.
