Mr. & Mrs. Smith
Aroview: An interesting departure for Alfred Hitchcock, this airy screwball comedy follows a happily married couple in New York who are shocked to learn that due to a jurisdictional mishap, their marriage is not legally valid.
A restrained comedy with a less stagey feel than many others of the era, and with the extra camera magic to be expected from this director. Purportedly, Hitch was compelled to take on the project due to his admiration for the acting talents of Carole Lombard.
