Aroview: British Hammer Horror production adapting the 1910 novel by Gaston Leroux.

The studio was hoping to ride on the previous huge success of the 1943 version, but Herbert Lom is no match for Lon Chaney. An ornate, gothic studio recreation of Victorian London provides the requisite mood, however.
