Scream
“A well-crafted slasher featuring riveting performances, filled with enough thrills, spills and chills that would even make Wes Craven proud.”~Flickering Myth
Aroview: The fifth installment in the SCREAM series of slasher films, acting as a direct sequel to 2011's SCREAM 4, and the first to be made without the late director Wes Craven.
In the quiet town of Woodsboro, a new killer dons the Ghostface mask and begins to terrorise a group of teenagers who are each linked to the original killings which occurred 25 years prior, and featuring a mix of new and 'legacy' cast-members. The film's main novelty is as a meta-meta-movie – a satire of a satire that insistently comments on itself as a 're-quel' in the making while the formula remains essentially the same.
