“Bruckner’s elegantly crafted film falls some way short of its grandest ambitions, but still sends you out into the night with a chill in your bones and the hairs stiff on the back of your neck.”~Jessica Kiang, The Playlist
Aroview: Powerful psychological horror from adventurous director David Bruckner (2007's THE SIGNAL), with Rebecca Hall playing the widow of a recently deceased man whose disturbing secrets start to emerge after his tragic suicide.
A richly atmospheric film with one foot in the haunted house sub-genre, exploring some ambitious eschatological themes, which plays intelligently on audience expectations and builds a terrific sense of dread.

4 stars (Very Good) The first two acts of this film were great! Genuinely scary moments, loved Rebecca Hall's take on grieving and giving no shits about anything. But it all kinda fell flat in the end. If you like a touch of romance with your ghost stories, check this out. ~Catapillar
