Synopsis: Drama/comedy set during World War II, starring Gregory Peck as a psychiatrist in a military hospital in Arizona. Based on a novel by Leo Rosten, which was in turn based on the real experiences of psychiatrist Ralph Greenson, who was among the first to connect post traumatic stress disorder with experiences in war. Received three Academy Award nominations for best adapted screenplay, best sound and best supporting actor for Bobby Darin.
