Moonage Daydream
“A wildly creative tribute to everything Bowie achieved over four and a half decades, sets a sky-high bar as cinematic fan-service, and it leaves you buzzing.”~Tim Robey, The Telegraph
Aroview: An authorized, immersive audio-visual odyssey that illuminates the enigmatic legacy of David Bowie.
The film is a full-throttle testament to Bowie as an endlessly creative chameleon, eminently photogenic icon and articulate gentleman, but the true bliss of this doco is finding the person in the persona, and the vulnerability of David Jones the entertainer through many career highs and not-so-highs. It couldn't all be crammed into 140 minutes, but dir. Brett Morgen gives it a pretty good shot, and the final product is a phantasmagoria that you can imagine Bowie himself would think was bloody marvelous.
