Aroview: Dennis Hopper plays P.I. Philip Lovecraft and becomes embroiled in the murder of a Hollywood producer with supernatural side-effects. Pleasing pastiche of McCarthy era paranoia mixes hard boiled noir with bizarre magic and in-jokes a plenty.
