Don's Party
Aroview: Tawdry sets and outfits compliment the crass attitudes of suburban Sydneyites who gather to celebrate an incoming Labour government on election night of 1969. Booze, sex and general immaturity converge in this highly amusing time capsule based on David Williamson's play.

5 stars (Exceptional) It's a lot of fun seeing these characters' behaviour degenerate throughout the booze–fuelled evening, but the film is also a great expose of human foibles that transcends the suburban Aussie setting. ~Hammerscope
2 stars (Good Try) It is showing its age 40 years on but it has retained some curiosity value. ~Tubbs
