3 stars (Good Enough) Best scenes are those when a talented Hayley goes into battle against the aged supporting cast who are uniformly excellent. The set designs/costumes are also excellent. The film goes on for a bit too long running out of steam & gets a little soapy. ~Tubbs
4 stars (Very Good) I loved this as a child of the 60s and still find it utterly charming. Yes, it is schmaltzy, but children's films can be forgiven that. It ends a bit abruptly though. ~BabyJane
