Aroview: A stylish thriller if ever there was one. The director combines the visual ostentation from his THE BIG BLUE with the plot mechanics of a classic nail-biter. Anne Parillaud in the title role makes a stunning feminist hero.

3 stars (Good Enough) Very stylish, with some good action sequences, but feeling somewhat aged already. The character remains intriguing though, and the premise is one that has been copied (to some degree) many times since. ~Tom H
4 stars (Very Good) Classic French action thriller with subtlety. Has stood the test of time very well and apart from the absence of computers & smartphones could have been made yesterday! Besson was a great Director. ~Sandy
3 stars (Good Enough) First two-thirds are 4* then it plays like there was a change of writer & the screenplay goes off the rails. It is not untypical for a Besson film to start strongly & weaken out. Anne P is outstanding for the most part & is well supported by Tchéky Karyo. ~Tubbs
