True Romance
Aroview: Precocious, ultra-violent black comedy from the pen of Tarantino in which comic-book-nerd Christian Slater transforms into Joe-Cool wise-guy vigilante.
An ode to gun culture as much as pop culture, it's an uproarious gut wrencher that's attuned to offend just about everyone. Contains at least one bona fide classic scene (stand up Dennis and Christopher), though, and a dream cast.

4 stars (Very Good) A rock'n'roll adventure of two unlikely lovers who accidentally double-cross the Detroit mob by stealing valuable contraband, and flee to LA where they're sought by both gangsters and cops. Off-beat, over-the-top, violent black comedy. ~GenXGirl
4 stars (Very Good) Penned by Tarantino and filmed by Scott (Tony), this is a Bonnie and Clyde adventure with as many pop-culture references as action sequences, some dark comedy, and an all-star cast. ~Tom H
