Aroview: Hollywood refit of the '60s cult TV show with classic stylings and theme-tune thankfully intact. Precisely executed action sequences redeem a somewhat fuzzy plot that trails framed agent Tom Cruise's self-imposed mission to flush out the double agent.

3 stars (Good Enough) A great success in the 1990s, Mission Impossible is already starting to show its age, with action sequences that were once intriguing and original, but have now become standard for the spy genre. ~Tom H
2 stars (Good Try) Although he does well with the stunt work its not enough for Cruise to carry the picture. He seems to be in every scene. Good that they have used the original theme tune - a classic. ~Tubbs
3 stars (Good Enough) Rewatched this shortly before seeing the new one, which turned out great because that refers directly back to this one many times! The plot is nonsense though. ~Pearce
