Wuthering Heights
Aroview: More ambitious than the 1939 version, this adaptation of Emily Bronte's novel was much-maligned upon release, chiefly due to Juliette Binoche's wavering Yerkshere accent. But Ralph Fienne's (Heathcliff) intense looks, the brooding interiors and moorlands all leave some impression.

4 stars (Very Good) My favourite adaptation of this classic book, due to the brilliant cast, gorgeous costumes and set, that tells the timeless passionate tale of good versus evil, selfishness, betrayal, and obsessive destructive love. Great stuff. ~GenXGirl
