Aroview: Volker Spengler plays a hopelessly insecure trans-sexual cast adrift amid imposing cityscapes of modern Berlin. Fassbinder trawls out the staples of the '70s art movie - alienation, sexual deviation, religion, slaughtered animals, interior monologues - but at least it's genuinely felt.
