Castle, The
Aroview: Uniquely Antipodean comedy about a blissfully naïve family that become forced to take on the council Goliath who wish to convert their beloved suburban dwelling into airport tarmac.
Will fetch a wry smile of recognition from most Kiwis as well as confound cynical expectations about being just another round of brash Aussie stereotypes - rather, rarely have screen characters of any creed or country had so much heart.

4 stars (Very Good) An Australian/legal comedy which is both satirically funny and strangely insightful. This is definitely a DVD for the pool room. ~Tom H
4 stars (Very Good) The Kerrigan family are a loveable ordinary Aussie family and when their home is under threat by the neighbouring airport's development, they don't go down without a fight - all the way to the Supreme Court. Great stuff. ~GenXGirl
5 stars (Exceptional) Funniest and most characteristic Australian film ever. Made on a tiny budget and carried by an uplifting story and great acting. A gem! ~Sandy
5 stars (Exceptional) Extremely well written, the characters are exaggerated to just the right extent and the drawbridge is raised on proceedings at just the right time. ~Tubbs
