Point Blank
Aroview: Fascinating, at times jarring, thriller has underworld hitman Lee Marvin hunting for those who double-crossed him in The Organisation, only to hit a screen of corporate executives and anonymous office-blocks. Filmed with a stylised, dreamlike minimalism, that's so drained of emotion it may at first be hard to follow. Those willing to engage will find rewards in Marvin's iconic performance and Boorman's New Wave-influenced style, that remains fresh today.

3 stars (Good Enough) Stolid performance by Lee Marvin well supported by Angie Dickinson. A directors' movie; faultless cinematography, weird almost surreal plot which comes together slowly and is more than the sum of its parts. Of its time, but still works today. ~Anon
