Daytrippers, The
Aroview: A woman involves her family in her suspicions of her husband's affair, who in a bizarre act of solidarity, all pile into the station wagon and trek to uptown New York to confront him. An unlikely premise gives rise to a tangy yet sympathetic satire of family dynamics and big smoke pretentions that wryly discloses some of the strangest normality one would be likely to find in the Big Apple. Though made on a shoestring budget, this rivals the controlled lunacy and poignance of FLIRTING WITH DISASTER.
