Hurricane Streets
Aroview: The excellent Brendan Sexton III (WELCOME TO THE DOLLHOUSE) does a sympathetic about-turn for this unflashy take on teenage delinquency.
It might wear its heart of gold on its sleeve, and is inevitably a grandson of MEAN STREETS, but is faithful to its small-scale, confidently staged, and has a rockin' lo-fi pop soundtrack, typified by Supple's fresh interpretation of The Bee Gees Staying Alive.
