Aroview: Four office temps band together in an oppressive (and outdated?) corporate environment - too bad they're caricatures: Toni Collette is 'mousey', Parker Posey is 'bratty', Lisa Kudrow is 'ditzy', and Alanna Ubach is, er, the other one.
Some nice observations about the banality of office life show initial promise, but the second half slumps into an unbearable exercise in self-pity that also gets fatally consumed with a sub-plot about a mysterious office kleptomaniac. The terminally mopey Collette at its centre does not help matters. All too appropriately, you'll be checking the LED reading on your VCR long before its 96 minutes is up.
