Irma La Douce
Aroview: On patrol in the red-light district of Paris, gendarme Jack Lemmon pines after whore-with-a-heart-of-gold Shirley Maclaine, in this Broadway adaptation (but with the songs removed). Lapses into caricature at times, but has a gaudy, casually vulgar good-time of it. Wilder throws in his usual cynical asides.

2 stars (Good Try) Very long but there are segments of good light comedy. The re-creation of the Parisian market, in particular, is well done. ~Tubbs
