Clockwork Orange, A
Aroview: From Anthony Burgess' novel, Stanley Kubrick flexes his genius with this electrifying satire about an ultra-violent gang of 'droogs' whose spree of robbing, raping and killing is chastised when the leader, Alex, is put through a bizarre reform program. Marvel at the dated futurism, the Wendy Carlos score, Malcolm McDowell's iconic performance, and most everything else about it. Not everyone's cup of tea, but a more vividly indelible slice of pop culture you won't find.

5 stars (Exceptional) One of 70’s more controversial films, with never-shy Kubrick directing a visually visceral, violent portrayal of Alex and his droogs in a unique futuristic world. Welly, welly, welly, well. To what do I owe the extreme pleasure of this surprising visit? ~Tom H
