Aroview: Sombre and intense story unfolds in the chilly, dank beauty of the 1950s Tasmania, where a Yugoslavian immigrant couple and their daughter find a kind of life on a remote hydroelectric dam project. Some unstated family rupture occurs though, leading 40 yrs later to the now-adult daughter Kerry Fox facing the past. Well-handled, with a good eye for the difficulties of childhood.
