Age of Consent

Aroview: Dir. Michael Powell's (PEEPING TOM) last feature, based on Aussie artist Norman Lindsay (who also inspired SIRENS). Here, a cranky James Mason goes on R&R in Surfers to re-invigorate his pallete via the charms of an unclothed Helen Mirren. Tone wavers between comedy and drama, but visually striking throughout.
