Aroview: Not even an unofficial biography of 'Nirvana', Kurt Cobain or Courtney Love, but instead a wickedly amusing slice of pop-cultural muck-raking that ostensibly explores the rumour that Courtney may have conspired to murder her late husband.
From that rather absurd premise unfolds an impromptu, gonzo-style inquisition led by fearless Brit documentarian Nick Broomfield, who, flatly denied access to his subject, concocts an alternative story from the soiled coat-tails of celebrity, and still manages to bring poor old Courtney down to size. Kurt would certainly have admired his audacity.
Average rating (Very Good). Showing 1-2 of 2 member reviews.
3 stars (Good Enough) Entertaining enough, but there is something distasteful about his reliance on the likes of dodge bikers and Courtney's deranged father to further his dubious hypothesis. ~Nick McB
4 stars (Very Good) Broomfield at his best investigates Kurt's suicide and in the process reveals more about the unstable Courtney, after interviewing those closet to the couple. Nirvana fans will still say she had an indirect hand in his untimely death and I'm one of them ~GenXGirl
