From Beijing with Love
Aroview: Exceedingly funny James Bond spoof, perhaps the finest Hong Kong export since Jackie Chan.
Assigned to retrieve a national treasure from corrupt Mainland officials, the all-charismatic Stephen Chow deploys some deft comic bungling as the secret agent who's more Maxwell Smart than Ling Ling Chai (007 in Chinese). Smartly staged and edited, and crammed with gags of remarkable consistency, and Chow's flaming star matched by the beautiful Anita Yuen.
