Analyze This
Aroview: Robert De Niro's serial tendency of playing violent mobmen stands him in good stead for this inspired self-parody, as a mafioso who seeks therapy to calm his demons from a mawkish Billy Crystal.
Unexpected one-liners and bizarre details benefit from De Niro's straight delivery and Crystal's expression of disbelief, with its one concept milked effectively for giggles, giving Scorcese, Coppola et al the barbed send-up they've long deserved.
