Land Girls, The

Aroview: Gently romantic look at the lives of three young women serving old Blighty during World War II as members of the nearly forgotten Women's Land Army. Toiling away on a farm, the trio of Catherine McCormack, Rachel Weisz and Anna Friel suffer the vicissitudes of love in a fairly unsensational manner, the director making up for overfamiliarity with an astute eye for the rural beauty of farm and field.
