Deep End of the Ocean, The

Aroview: Playing on the fears of parents everywhere, this sober drama presents a nightmare scenario of child-kidnapping in suburban America, with Michelle Pfeiffer and Treat Williams enlisting Whoopi Goldberg in the hunt for their missing tot.

Performances are solid and believable throughout despite lapses into over-earnestness.
