Loverboy
Aroview: An earnest, if rather thin portrayal of obsessive motherhood, in which a neglected daughter (Sedgwick) grows up wanting only one thing in life - a baby - and so styles herself as a "nomadic huntress", having one night stands with a string of men in order to fulfil her dream.
At last successful, she bonds deeply with her young son, but eventually reaches a crisis when he starts to crave some separation in the form of friends, schooling etc. Adapted from the novel by Victoria Redel, this can't quite springboard the admittedly-compelling plot into believability, but a meaty emsemble cast (gathered in by actor-director Bacon) provide suitable distraction among the low-budget trappings.
