Aroview: Brit comic whizz-kid Ben Elton has a crack at the directing whip, adapting his semi-autobiographical novel about infertility; 'Inconceivable'. Hugh Laurie can take kids or leave them, having aspirations as a big time film-maker but he hears the biological clock of his wife (Joely Richardson) clanging like Big Ben (oo-er). Yes, the conjugal sex gags run rampant as do the 'wanking' ones once the natural options run out and they have to turn to advanced science in a bid for a happy ending. Elton's famous friends - Rowan Atkinson, Emma Thompson, Joanna Lumley and Dawn French provide regulation dotty support.

2 stars (Good Try) Whilst the material soon runs out of steam there is an attractive cast to maintain the interest. The Rowan Atkinson segments are worthy of attention. ~Tubbs
