Aroview: Two feckless delinquents discover the local boxing-gym, which provides inspiration for one and an entry into a yakuza gang for the other. Hard-hitting, with the expected bursts of outlandish violence, but also underscored with real warmth of character and setting. Yet another triumph for the director (who, unusually, didn't star, recovering from the scars of a motor scooter accident).
